Balcom Named to USDA Trade Committee
This week, Jared Balcom, NPC Vice President of Trade Affairs from Pasco, Washington was named to the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee (APAC) for Trade. This committee holds primary responsibility for providing agriculture industry input to the Secretary of Agriculture and the United States Trade Representative regarding U.S. trade policy.
“Its an honor to be named to represent our export-dependent industry on APAC. It is a volatile time for trade policy, making this type of input and advice more important than ever,” said Mr. Balcom.
He joins 32 other CEOs, association executives and trade experts on the committee. Previously, Dan Moss of Idaho served on APAC for the potato industry.
